When I Ask for Your Help

A few months ago, I told you about an old friend who had been diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She had just recently lost her job and was facing enormous medical bills without the aid of company-supplied health insurance. We were raising money on her behalf.

I glanced at my Facebook newsfeed yesterday morning and saw the news. On January 9, Katie passed away. She was 26 years old. Her husband Josh is now grieving, of course, while also being faced with the medical bills that must still be paid. While I don’t know Josh personally, I did know Katie. She was one of the first people I met when I first started attending church, and she was incredible – genuinely kind, genuinely caring, overflowing with joy. Would you consider helping her husband as he faces a sea of bills in the coming days? Click here to view Katie and Josh’s donation page.
