When We Could All Do With Some More Meditation

This is the Table, not of the Church but of the Lord
It is made ready for those who love Him,
And for those who want to love Him more.
So come, you who have much faith and you who have little.
You who have been here often and you who have not been here long.
You who have tried to follow and you who have failed.
Come, because it is the Lord who invites you.
It is His will that those who want Him should meet Him here.
-from the Communion liturgy

“Get low, proud heart. Bow your head and kneel at the feet of Christ. Surrender all of you–particularly your speech–and beg to know gracious phrasing, to love people alongside their Creator toward the Truth that you yourself know only in fractured, fragment part.”
-from Preston Yancey’s recent post over at Deeper Story

“Most problems, you can recover from. Like, if someone breaks into your house, it’s not the end of the world. But the anxiety you can feel about the possibility of something like someone breaking into your house can ruin your life.”
